Spiderman 4 gets a writer

Writer James Vanderbilt has been hired to write the script for the new spiderman film and is a big indication that sony pictures are moving ahead with the sequel. The screenwriter, who scripted Zodiac and is currently working on the new Wolverine film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vanderbilt was chosen by Sony for the fourth instalment because of his character-driven approach to the story, rather than a focus on special effects.

This is interesting news i was for one dissapointed with Spiderman 3 it had far to many storylines and far to much attention was payed to the relationship troubles with MJ and Peter and some secens were just laughable. The thing that strikes me is the last bit saying a more charcter driven story, which the first two spiderman films did perfectly. There is no news on villians or cast at the moment but rumors are spreading around that The Lizard will be in the next one. Watch this space.
